Artist's Description

This was Shombay who we all knew at the Tucson Reid Park Zoo. We had to say goodbye to this beautiful cat this week, he was humanely put to sleep due his kidney disease. My thoughts are with the patrons, staff and keepers who truly loved this one of a kind lion. I will miss him for sure.

About Elaine Malott

Elaine Malott

Hello, My name is Elaine Malott and I do Nature and Landscape Photography. I have always had a love of the outdoors and animals since I was very young. I took art for most of my school years, and continued to do so afterwards as well, until I lost the ability to draw/paint due to hand surgeries. When I was little, my sister gave me a 110 camera, later I bought my own 35mm and took hundreds of photographs with it. When I lost my hand at drawing, I turned to photography as my new medium. I hope that if I even inspire one person, or make someone's day, then I feel that I have accomplished my job. I hope that you have enjoyed my page and photographs, have a great day :) Elaine Malott - Facebook Elaine's Photographs - Fan Page on Flicker...
